The Art of Brea
I am an artist, mother, and returning student dedicated to mastering the Visual Arts. Having stepped back into academia after two decades, I am energized to refine my creative vision and evolve my artistic language.
My practice involves deep exploration of mixed media, where I play with diverse materials and unconventional techniques. This portfolio chronicles my artistic journey over the coming three semesters as I challenge my limits and expand my horizons.
To me, creating art is a lifelong commitment to discovery—a process of constant growth where I embrace the courage to begin anew.
Creative Process
My goal for this semester is to explore and capture the many different emotions I experience as a woman, mother, wife, and survivor. Through my artwork, I want to express the strength, vulnerability, love, fear, joy, and resilience that come with these different parts of my life. I hope to create work that is honest, personal, and emotionally meaningful.
